I remember standing at art easels in nursery, maybe 4-5yrs old, and painting joy filled huge brush strokes on sugar paper.. Although I specialised in Surface Pattern and Textiles BA Hons at Plymouth University, I wanted to teach young children and spent over 12yrs in primary schools in the UK & abroad. It wasn’t until I started to have recurring dreams of being in an art studio again that I felt a call in my heart to paint again.

Watercolour ink became the medium I soon found delight in, exploring colour layering, flowing movement and glimmers of light.

At the end of 2018, we made the move from the Middle East to the wonderful Highlands of Scotland. This was an oasis for us as we suddenly found ourselves walking through a deep valley of grief with recurring baby loss. I found spending time with God while painting a huge part of my own healing journey. In 2023 we welcomed our much prayed for Son, Michael, into the world, soon after that we moved to Crackington Haven, North Cornwall near Bude. Much of my paintings revolve the word Hope and there are many stories behind the art created over the years that are recorded in my blog .

Most recently in my paintings, you will find the ever changing beachscapes of the Southwest coastline. Those moments of refreshing sea swims, playing on the beach, coastal path walks, enjoying time with friends the Coastal Collection is about capturing connections with each other and nature. Each have been painted using bold brush strokes of watercolour inks and are now available as professional art prints using UV resistant inks. Also vibrant Original Artworks of Cornwall & Devon are available as acrylic paintings…….
